Adult Ministries

Reaching Out, Touching Hearts, Changing Lives

We want to see people live transformed, spirit-filled lives through the forgiveness of sins by the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Our Adult Ministries serve as a bridge between our mission and practical ministry. Whether it’s through volunteer service or active participation, you will be making a difference in both your personal walk with Christ as well as in the lives of others in our church community.

Men’s Group

Men’s group meets every Sunday at 7pm for Bible study and informal times of fellowship and prayer. Other men’s activities are occasionally planned throughout the year. Future men’s ministry will be posted to the church calendar.

Ladies of Grace

The heart behind the ministry of Ladies of Grace is for every woman to know that she is loved and valued by our Heavenly Father and that she is not alone in her journey. As sisters in Christ at GFC we desire to encourage one another to a life of freedom and joy in the Lord. A variety of gatherings are available for ladies throughout the year such as a Spring Brunch, movie nights, book studies, and more where the truth of God’s Word, testimonies, partnership in prayer, and the fun of fellowship can be experienced. You can learn about upcoming ladies’ events through the weekly bulletin and announcements in our Sunday services. We welcome all ladies to join us to be refreshed and renewed!

Mom’s Group

The GFC Moms’ Group is a group of moms that meet on Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm throughout the school year. During the summer months, we have playdates and moms’ nights. Any extra events will be listed in the bulletin and an email reminder will be sent out. Our focus is for moms to be able to come together and have support in Biblical parenting, build lasting relationships, and spend time in prayer for one another. We do a variety of Bible and book studies that help make God’s Word more relevant in our parenting and other areas of our lives. Childcare is available during our meetings for those who have a true need. Join us!

Stayin’ Alive

Stayin’ Alive, led by Pastor Jeff and Cindy Barnett, is open to all seasoned adults (suggested age 60+). This group meets twice a month at the church for fellowship and encouragement in the Lord, enjoying occasional guest speakers and outings. “O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.” Psalm 71:17-18

Discipleship Communities

Discipleship Communities (DC Groups) are what we call our small groups here at GFC. These groups meet weekly in homes and include time for fellowship, worship, prayer, encouragement from the Word of God and discussion. DC Groups allow for the development of deeper connections and relationships than can be gained on Sunday mornings alone. Opportunities to join a DC Group are made available throughout the summer for new groups starting in the fall. However, during the school year, a DC Group specifically for newcomers or those not currently in a group meets at the church and is always open to anyone who is interested in attending. Dates and times for this group are included in our bulletin and weekly announcements when it is in session.
